Hi, I’m Daniela D’Amato, an artist who works in 3 mediums – Photography, Oil Paint and Ink Illustration. I live in London, a city I adore with friends who also inspire me. Much of my work is inspired by intimate connections. This may be people I have met briefly on train journeys or those who have grown up with me.
I enjoyed the first 10 years of my career as Press, working with musicians including some of my favourite artists Amy Winehouse, The White Stripes, Paul Weller and Eric Clapton. My work has been published in NME, Kerrang and Rolling Stone Magazine.
I held my first solo show of paintings in 2015 in Hampstead, London. It was an exciting exhibition as it was the first time I had ever shown my paintings publicly.
People often say ‘I don’t know much about art’ and my response is, the clothes we wear, the music we listen to and the artefacts we purchase have all been designed by someone, a creative with a vision. Art is not for the elite. It is there to inspire and evoke an emotion. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty and I often spend hours on one piece I then paint over the next day only to produce something I am happy with in a moment. I am passionate about art and producing a piece which makes me feel satisfied.
All of the work on my website is available to purchase as Fine Art Prints.
I take commissions and enjoy working closely with clients and sharing ideas. Please do share with me your ideas on my contact page.
